Micro-abrasive cleaning uses a controlled stream of fine particles to gently remove mineral crusts, soot, and biological growth from stone and masonry. It is ideal for delicate historical surfaces where traditional sandblasting would cause damage. We calibrate the pressure and media type for each project based on the stone's hardness and condition.
Yes. We create silicone molds from surviving sections of the original ornamentation and cast new pieces using traditional lime-based mortars. The new castings are hand-finished to match the existing patina and installed with breathable adhesives to prevent future moisture trapping.
We apply a gentle biocide treatment specifically formulated for porous stone, followed by a low-pressure rinse. After the surface is clean, we consolidate the stone with a nanosilica-based consolidant to restore its strength. This approach removes lichen and moss without eroding the carving details.
Timelines depend on the size and condition of the facade. A small section of limestone cleaning and consolidation may take two to three weeks. Full facade restoration with molding replication and structural repairs can take several months. We provide a detailed schedule after the initial survey.
